Pick of the Week: Tarte Cheek Stain

I can’t get enough of Tarte Cheek Stain. It looks so natural and blends so easily with your fingertips. A 1 ounce stick of this solid gel based stain will last you a lifetime. It’s loaded with anti-oxidant packed ingredients such as passion fruit, goji berry, and pomegranate extracts. It’s paraben and fragrance free, plus Tarte helps save the Amazon Rainforest! It’s a little pricey at $30, but if can, this would be a great splurge. Don’t know how to apply it? Watch my Quick Demo featuring Tarte’s limited edition True Blood Cheek Stain.

Pick of the Week – Fairy Drops Mascara!

 Fairy Drops Mascara Review

It’s magical and whimsical and marketed right. I have to admit, if Sephora didn’t have this mascara in every email blast for a month, I would have never heard of it. As I read more about it, I wanted to give it a try. The ingredients were interesting and the applicator was original. After one layer of Fairy Drops Scandal Queen Mascara ($24) I fell in love. I love the dolly/doe eyed effect it gave my eyes.

How does it work? The fibers lengthen while collagen adds a supple plump your to your lashes. Their “curl-keep” polymer keeps lashes curled all day without the need for a lash curler and jojoba oil and squalane keep your lashes strong and moisturized. The unusual applicator looks like 3 spheres on a curved brush. This helps to lift and curl the inner, center, and outer corner lashes for a maximum eye opening effect.
Fairy Drops is a Japanese cosmetics company that has an entire line of makeup available to Asia only. Hopefully, the success of their Drama Queen mascara will bring more of their products to the States.

Pick of the Week…The Body Shop Seaweed Scrub

Body Shop Pore Cleansing Seaweed Facial Exfoliator
Ingredients from the ocean are my favorite for face and body. They brighten, clarify, add radiance, and minimize pores. My pick this week is the Body Shop Seaweed Scrub ($14.50). This facial exfoliator is for normal/combination to oily skin. My skin gets oily in the summer, so I have to keep a close eye on my oil balance. Just a little excess oil can cause a breakout. The main purpose of the Seaweed Scrub is to minimize pores by sloughing away excess oils, dirt and dead skin before you cleanse your face. Here is my video review and demo of The Body Shop Seaweed Scrub:

NARS Orgasm Tutorial

I recently purchased Nars’ Orgasm line of makeup at Sephora. They had a box set with lip gloss, blush, highlighter stick and nail polish. I was reluctant to buy it for a really long time because I didn’t want to give in to the hype of the name. I finally gave in when this value set came out. I’m am a coral fiend, so this line was pretty much made for me. I love how perfect the blend of pink and orange pigments look on my neutral yellow skin. Please watch my NARS Orgasm Tutorial video to see how you can wear these products.

Pick of the Week…Best Drug Store Mascara

I really didn’t want to hop on the “Lash Blast” Bandwagon, but I decided to give it a try (mostly beacause it was orange). I had returned every drug store mascara I purchased because they were all pretty horrible, but this one’s a keeper! It wasn’t clumpy, flaky or dry. It separated, volumized dramatically and lengthened my lashes. This will definitely be the mascara in my makeup artist kit. LOVES IT!!!
