Tis the season for fashion shows and fresh ideas! I was so inspired by the Art to Wear and Raleigh Redress fashion shows, that I decided to make my own clothes! My brain was over flowing with ideas, so I had to create some handmade kitsch clothing. I’m not a great sewer and I have one of those $80 Brother sewing machines, but I’m the only one who knows what my clothes look like inside out, right? I spent all week finally starting to put a dent in my fabric stash. The end result? Check out my Flickr slide show!

Pick of the Week – M.A.C. Gloss Texture
I am OBSESSED with MAC’s Clear Gloss texture gel ($18). The skin trend is changing to a more refreshing, dewy, moisture-drenched look that I am absolutely in love with. Dab a little clear gloss on the high planes of your face and you’re ready for a photo shoot. Here are some examples of new, natural beauty:
This gloss can be used anywhere on your body and face. Dab a little in the center of your smoky eyes and you’ve got vintage Hollywood glam. Mix it with pigments and/or glitter and you can create any color of lip gloss you want. Clear Gloss is so versatile, it’s worth the $18.
Jewelry in the Works
I’m really excited about all the new jewelry supplies I got. I’ve been working mostly on pendants lately. I’m trying to make sort of off-beat cameos that have the look of Psychobilly Elegance. Hope you likey!
