AIDS Walk 2011 Donation Giveaway

In the past, I have registered under the name Pomps n’ Gloss for the annual Raleigh AIDS Walk + Ride. This year, I am going as just me, Marissa. No advertisements. No gimmicks. Just plain ol’ charity fun. I love meeting the diverse group of people that walk every year. I most definitely look forward to petting the mascot of Team Llama. Usually I bring someone with me, but this year all I’m bringing is my ipod.

Last year I raised about $300, but this year I’m reaching out to all of you for support. I think my goal of $500 can be easily attained if everyone pitches in what they can. Every dollar counts, so don’t feel like what you can afford isn’t good enough. I’m donating my time to walk because I can’t afford what I want to contribute monetarily.

I know people donate out of the goodness of their hearts, but who says I can’t attach a great big thank you to your contribution? This year I’m offering an AIDS Walk 2011 Donation Giveaway. I’m raffling off a prize pack so AMAZING it will blow you away! You can watch my video below to see what you can win.

I love Vimeo! It’s a positive, encouraging community of artists that share their passion to create in the form of video. The site is clean, organized and aesthetically pleasing. There aren’t annoying ads everywhere, nor mean spirited viewers that leave hateful, unproductive criticism. This site is about sharing your art, and building a support system. I actually have more videos posted on my Vimeo Channel than on YouTube because there are less limitations. YouTube makes me compromise what I want my finished product to be, so you’ll also notice slight differences in some of the original videos on Vimeo. If you haven’t subscribed to my channel yet, please do. On my channel, you can watch makeup videos that include tutorials and cosmetic product reviews. I give away the more exclusive and hard to find beauty products for Vimeo contests, so it benefits subscribers all the way around.

Subscribe to my YouTube channel, KitschkweenDIY, and once I reach 100 subscribers, I will randomly pick a winner using Raffle King. The winner will receive 3 mini Lancome Juicy Tubes (about a $20 value) in “Simmer,” “Dreamsicle,” and “Magic Spell.” After this iconic lip gloss launched 10 years ago (stumping the sales of every other lip gloss on the market) almost all other cosmetic lines had to release a similar product to keep up with the trend.
