Hey Dolls! This Monster High makeup tutorial is for little girls. Yay! My beautiful daughter, Chibi Kitsch, will be the smart and gorgeous Lagoona Blue this Halloween. For her look, I omitted foundation, powder, eyeliner and mascara. I just think that’s too much for a 9 year old to wear, not to mention the difficulty of taking it all off. You can complete this look in 5 minutes with inexpensive alternatives to what I used.

My first Halloween makeup tutorial ever is up and ready! My daughter and I are going to be Monster High dolls. I am going as Frankie Stein and she will be Lagoona Blue. This tutorial was intended for teens and adults since it requires a lot of makeup and lashes. For those looking to complete their look, Costume Masks can be a great addition. Stay tuned for the Lagoona Blue tutorial for little girls.

Grunge is back, and I’m loving it! That tough girl that doesn’t give a f*** about looking pretty for boys can finally break out of her cage for this fall’s hottest trend. To create a grunge look, use matte or demi-matte finish products. Think of shimmer and glitter to be the anti-grunge makeup. The only “dew” on your skin should be sweat from partying too hard! In my Grunge Makeup Tutorial video, I’ll show you how to create scary beautiful eye makeup featuring some of my favorite dark colors.

I got more Tokidoki makeup! I purchased the Soda Shop palette along with a Kabuki Brush and Pittura angled blush brush. As you will find from my review, I liked everything except for the eyeliner. I hope you enjoy my review and natural bronze tutorial using the Tokidoki Soda Shop palette!
I had the wonderful opportunity to be a volunteer at North Carolina’s 2nd Maker Faire. The Maker Faire that originated in my hometown of San Mateo, CA in 2006 is the largest DIY Festival in the world! Unfortunately, I had already moved out of the Bay Area in 2004, so I never got a chance to go to one until last year in Durham, NC. The Maker Faire NC 2011 was held in Raleigh at the fairgrounds and more than double the amount of last year’s attendees showed up! I got to meet some inspiring Makers and I wanted to share a little of my experience with all of you. If there is a Maker Faire near you I highly suggest you go. It’s great for little kids too! Enjoy my video!
