Rockabilly Swap!!!

I really lucked out! My partner for the Craftster Rockabilly Swap was a fashion design teacher, so of course I got clothes! Not only did I get a rockin’ new outfit, but I also got a new apron, ring and wrist pin cushions, a makeup bag with matching coin purse, some glitzy barrettes, makeup brushes, magnets, pedi clippers, headband, and pinup girl compact and tin.

here are some pics of the small-ish stuff:

I couldn’t resist doing up the rockabilly makeup. I would’ve sported bigger hair if I had the right kind of pomade.

Here’s what I sent to my partner:

Indigo Ripples Skirt

I finally finished this damn skirt. It was my first time working a lace pattern, therefore are a ton of mistakes. I’ve learned that I do not like knitting lace. I didn’t know I was making mistakes until about 10 rows later, and there was no way I was going to rip it and start over! I got really frustrated and put my needles down for about 3 weeks. Finally I just made myself finish it so I could move on to the next project requiring the needles this skirt was on. So without further ado here is my Indigo Ripples Skirt:

All in all, I really like this skirt, but would never knit it again. It’s really comfortable and airy. I wore it out yesterday in 90 degree weather and felt fine in it.
